• Gifts of Stock or Securities

  GDS welcomes gifts of stock or securities, which can be particularly advantageous to the donor. Please notify GDS's Advancement Office of a transfer using our Online Stock Transfer Notification Form. Your broker should transfer your stock gift electronically to Georgetown Day School account #7040822 at SunTrust Bank using the instructions on the Online Stock Transfer Notification Form.

• Matching Gifts

  Many companies will match employee gifts. You may be able to double or triple the size of your gift by submitting the appropriate matching gift form (available from your employer) along with your contribution. • GDS Endowment

  Philleo Nash, the first chair of the GDS Board of Trustees, liked to call GDS a “do-it-yourself school.” From its founding by seven families in 1945, GDS has always counted on our entire community to make sure we are doing it right. Members of our community who have invested in the GDS endowment allow us to keep true to our founding mission. We are now able to draw on more than $40 million in endowed funds dedicated to a range of academic and athletic programs, financial aid, and faculty support each and every year. • Planned Gifts and Bequests

  GDS welcomes planned gifts and encourages donors to include the School in their estate planning. Deferred giving through trusts, annuities, insurance policies, and bequests may offer significant tax benefits, provide a portion of income rights for the life of the donor and/or other beneficiary, and reduce estate settlement costs while fulfilling your philanthropic goals. • Memorial, Honor, or Celebration Gifts

  You can make a memorial or honor gift to GDS at www.GDS.org/Giving as a way to remember a loved one or to honor a special person or celebrate an occasion such as a birthday, bar/bat mitzvah, holiday, or special achievement. A note will be sent to the individual you are honoring to inform him or her of your gift; the amount of the gift will not be disclosed.
