GDS is pleased to offer a variety of camps and classes open to the greater Washington, DC, community!
Whether you are already familiar with GDS, live in the neighborhood, or just visiting for a while, we welcome your whole family to participate in our auxiliary programs! If you're looking for something for your children, we offer break camps for children during most school holidays; summer studies throughout the summer; and a variety of classes and workshops on weekends during the school year. If you're looking for something for yourself, consider one of our adult classes or workshops.
While participating in GDS Camps & Classes, children will explore, learn, and create through hands-on and interpersonal inquiry, gaining an appreciation for themselves, others, and the world. GDS Camps & Classes team members teach new skills and provide tools that enable children to develop into great people who strive to learn and understand, try new things, and care for others. You just never know what you'll learn!
What you can expect from GDS Camps and Classes:
When your child attends a program at GDS, you can expect a safe, caring, supportive, educational environment that fosters independence and a desire to learn in all participants. Knowing that all children need support to be successful, we do our best to accommodate all children who are interested in our programs.
What GDS Camps and Classes expects from campers:
We expect that all participants will demonstrate care, respect, and responsibility at all times while with us. We expect participants to exhibit self-control, be nice to others, and follow simple instructions.
While we offer top-notch programs, we may not be the best program or have the right supports in place for all children, especially those requiring special medical, behavioral, or social support. Georgetown Day School is a coed, preK-12, non-sectarian private school in Washington, DC with small class sizes and a diverse school community.
